Where to begin

Beginning an exercise program can be a little intimidating. There is so much information out there, how could you possibly figure out where to begin?

It may seem like everything you read is geared towards advanced trainers. What about someone who has never touched a weight before but wants to make some positive changes to his or her health and physique?

I worked in various gyms from the time I started bodybuilding at age 16 all the way up until I moved to Colorado to start this great job with AST Sports Science. In that time I saw many people walk through the gym doors. Some became consistent fitness enthusiasts and some were never seen again after a week or so.

Learn correctly the first time

There could be multiple reasons why some people adhere to an exercise program and some don't. I feel that one of the main factors is a lack of guidance in the beginning. If you have no clue of where to begin, you have a greater chance of getting discouraged before you ever give yourself a chance to see results.

It is my hope that I can give you a head start by sharing with you some of what I have learned over the past 10 years.
